PASTOR
The pastor is responsible for using his gifts and talents in the proclamation of the gospel, the teaching of the word of God, charge of the spiritual welfare of the congregation and services of public worship, and to administer pastoral care in meeting the needs of persons in the church and community. In addition, the pastor is also to provide administrative leadership for the entire church body.
DIACONATE
The diaconate members are servants of the church, whose primary responsibility within the church is to handle in the best possible manner according to God’s word, all concerns of the church. They shall serve as a council of advice and conference with the pastor in all matters pertaining to the welfare and work of the church. Along with the pastor, they are also to promote the continuous progress of the church in the areas of leading souls to Christ, the development of Christians, and the growth of the Kingdom of God.
TRUSTEE
The trustees shall hold in trust all property belonging to the church and shall take all necessary measures for its protection, management, and upkeep. However, the trustees shall have no power to buy, mortgage, lease, or transfer any property without the specific vote of the church authorizing such action.
TREASURER/ASSISTANT
The treasurer is responsible for having custody of the funds of the church and all the deposits made in the name of the church, and all checks drawn by the treasurer/assistant shall be in the name of the church. The assistant aids the treasurer in his/her duties or in the absence of the treasurer, fulfills his/her duties.
CHURCH CLERK/ASSISTANT
The clerk is responsible for keeping a complete record of the transactions of all business meetings of the church. In addition, clerk/assistant shall keep a record of the names and addresses of all members. With dates and manner of admission and termination, records of baptisms, and a list of those suspended. The clerk is to preserve on file all communications and written reports pertinent to the on-going mission of the church. The assistant aids the clerk in his/her duties or, in the absence of the clerk, fulfills his/her duties.
CHURCH SECRETARY
The church secretary is responsible for the general office work of the church in relieving church ministries of minor executive and clerical duties. This office work includes secretarial duties related to the pastor’s ministry as well.
SEXTON/CUSTODIAN
The sexton is responsible for maintaining clean buildings and grounds, and for making minor repairs of the church’s facilities so that its components are ready for use for church activities.
MINISTER OF MUSIC
The minister of music is responsible for assisting the pastor in planning, conducting, developing, promoting and evaluating a worshipful music ministry.
DIRECTOR/DIRECTRESS
The director/directress is responsible for preparing the various components of the music ministry of the church in order to demonstrate and led the congregation in a worshipful ministry of music.
